Winona Ryder, who has been absent from the celebrity radar for a long time is suddenly being featured all over the place. She is in the news for needing a male to run her gadgets, she is talking about her legacy and friendships.

The pixie looking star who has two Oscar nominations and a Bafta award is a veteran of Hollywood with nearly 40 films under her belt. Her latest outing is in the film “Black Swan” , directed by Darren Aronofsky.

Some of her well known movies are “Age of Innocence, Little Women and Girl Interrupted”. This movie was co-produced by her and very close to her heart.

She claims it was with this movie that she came out of adolescence. It was personal as she had also faced depression which the movie covered. It also stared Angelina Jolie and earned her an Academy award. Brittney Murphy was also a part of the film.

Winona recently revealed in press interview that she wanted to be friends with Angelina Jolie during the filming but Jolie kept her distance. She added that maybe she wanted to stay true to the character and not get too close to anyone on the sets.

The 39-year-old also said that she felt boring alongside Jolie but is pleased that she has now achieved a lot in her career and appreciates her humanitarian efforts.

Winona is slated to appear in a Tim Burton animation horror film “Frankenweenie” , 3D, next. She was a part of his “Edward Scissorheads” too.
