Kevin McGarry’s back with his second Hallmark Channel Winterfest 2019 movie, “Winter Love Story.”

The Saturday premiere also stars Jen Lilley, who’s been in quite a few Hallmark movies, including 2018’s “Mingle All the Way” and “Yes I Do.” McGarry was in “Winter Castle” two weeks ago and is set to join Hallmark’s “When Calls the Heart” series when Season 6 starts next month.

Here’s what you can expect from their new Hallmark movie together, according to the synopsis:

“The old adage ‘you can’t judge a book by its cover’ takes on a whole new meaning for first-time author Cassie Winslett (Lilley) when she is paired with successful author Elliot Somersby (McGarry) for a book tour to promote her breakup memoir and his fantasy dragon saga.

“Doubtful of her own talent and afraid of comparisons to her mother (Humes), an award-winning novelist, Cassie initially finds Elliot to be far too self-confident and somewhat full of himself when they first meet, but as she gets to know the kind and caring man he really is, she finds herself falling in love for the first time since the painful breakup that inspired her book.”

The film, which was directed by T.W. Peacocke and written by MacKenzie Austin, also stars “Dawson’s Creek” alum Mary-Margaret Humes (Jeannine), Laura Miyata (Piper), Joanna Douglas (Becca), Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll (Julian), Robinne Fanfair (Gwendolyn), Nneka Elliot (Samantha Wallace) and Alexander Nunez (Trevor).

Catch “Winter Love Story” when it premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday at 8 p.m. EST.
