Wipeout contestant Tom Sparks dies
Contestant in the ABC TV reality show, Tom Sparks, died last week after suffering a stroke, The Wrap reported.
Sparks, 33, was physically injured while performing a stunt on the October 19 episode; he was then taken to hospital according to the site.
Problems first arose when Sparks complained of knee pain on the first part of the obstacle course, and producers instructed him to stop his run. Medics also noticed Sparks experiencing a shortness of breath.
The injury on the show was not the cause of death, Sparks' father, Bill, said his son suffered from a pre-existing condition that causes unnatural blood clotting.
Sparks died on November 5.
