Woman Bites Boyfriend's Ear Off During Fight In Motel Room
A woman from Hot Springs, Arkansas, was arrested Sunday after she bit a part of her boyfriend’s ear off during an argument.
Police responded to a motel after receiving information regarding a battery in progress. The officers met 30-year-old LaDuska Nicole Pearson who was staying in the motel with her boyfriend. They noticed fresh blood on Pearson’s arms. The woman told them she and her boyfriend got into a fight on the bed.
Soon, the officers met her unnamed boyfriend and observed blood on the right side of his shirt. The officers then asked the man to remove the towel with which he was covering the right side of the face and noticed that the bottom portion of his ear was severed. The man said he tried to restrain Pearson when she attempted to hit him and during this, she bit his ear.
Pearson was taken into custody and charged with second-degree domestic battery. While in custody, the woman said she became upset with the victim and started shaking so he grabbed her and restrained her. She then spontaneously bit his ear. Pearson also said her boyfriend did not hit her and that she did not sustain any injuries during the fight at the motel room. When asked about a bruise on her face, Person said it was old and was not caused by the victim.
Meanwhile, the victim was transported to a nearby hospital and there was no clarification on whether his ear could be repaired.
In a similar incident in May, a woman from Nashville, Tennessee, was charged with aggravated assault after she bit a part of her boyfriend's ear off during a domestic dispute. Police responded to a motel after receiving information about a domestic dispute. When asked, the unnamed victim said he and his girlfriend, Rebecca Hayes, were drinking before the incident happened. The two got into an argument and when he tried to hug Hayes assuming the disagreement was over, she bit his ear and removed a piece of it. Though Hayes admitted to biting the ear, she said it was only after her boyfriend hit her in the face. However, the woman was taken into custody and police noted there were no bruises on her face or body at the time of the arrest.
