A woman in Melbourne was arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend and severing his genitals.

Jasmine Everleigh, 44, was charged with two counts of murder after the boyfriend and his friend were both found with critical wounds.

Everleigh allegedly murdered her partner Samir Esbeck, 59, and his friend Sarkis Abboud, 61, in the early hours of Thursday morning. First responders found the victims’ bodies at a Brunswick apartment.

Esbeck, whose privates were cut off in the stabbing frenzy, was pronounced dead at the scene. Abboud died on the way to the hospital, according to 7NEWS.

Everleigh, who was in a relationship with Esbeck for almost 10 years, was captured on CCTV walking down the street near Sydney Road after allegedly stabbing the two victims. The shirtless woman was seen in a bra and had a shirt wrapped around her hand and her shoes, according to LADbible.

Her feet, covered in blood, left a bloody trail that went on for nearly a mile and could be seen through lanes as well as a children’s playground.

The woman was later found and arrested on a tram in the nearby suburb of Carlton and taken to a hospital with cuts on her arms.

“She was bleeding and had a fair bit of blood on her,” Acting Assistant Commissioner Mick Frewen told reporters.

Following her release from the hospital Friday, Everleigh was interrogated by cops and charged with two counts of murder. She was remanded following her arrest and is scheduled to appear in court on August 29.

Investigators are yet to determine the events that led to the murders.

Abboud’s daughter, Christine Abboud, shared an emotional post about her father on Facebook after the news of his death.

“No one deserves this kind of pain left with them. My father was my hero, a loving husband and brother to his family. My heart feels empty knowing I won’t ever see him again. Dad, I love you,” the daughter wrote.

Christine spoke to The Age and described her father as a bubbly man with a caring personality.

“He was a very gentle soul at heart,” she told the outlet. “The first thing to come to everyone’s minds when they thought of my dad was that he was a giant teddy bear. If you didn’t have food to eat, he would make sure he would give you the food off of his plate before he could eat."

“We all lost a great man ...,” the bereaved daughter added.

Former Moreland Councillor Milad El-Halabi for the Saint Maura Association of Victoria also took to Facebook and described Abboud as a “brother and father and friend to many, who was loved by all and will be dearly missed but never forgotten.”

“Sarkis was a great public figure in the community. His presence was always felt, and on this sad day, his passing saddens us all,” he went on to say, according to the outlet. “Sarkis is now at peace with God and is joining beloved ones and all our other angels.”
