A woman in Scotland trivialized pain to honor her father.

Nadine Anderson, 23, from Dundee, has inked 90% of her body to pay homage to her tattoo-enthusiast dad and it cost her $19,400 (£15,000).

Anderson, who works as a healthcare assistant, said she paid for each tattoo from her own wages.

Anderson said she looked up to her dad’s tattoos ever since she was a child. “My dad had two sleeves when I was growing up and I always wanted them,” she told the New York Post. “I was the classic daddy’s girl growing up and seeing my dad covered in that I always knew I wanted to be like him and have all that kind of stuff.”

She said she searched the internet for inspiration on new tattoo styles and body modifications in order to envision how she wanted to look at the age of 18. She got her first tattoo “tree of life” on her forearm as soon as she turned 18.

“I discussed my first tattoo with my dad, and he supported my decision,” Anderson said. She, in fact, booked the first tattoo with her dad. She went on to add more tattoos since and has 90% coverage on her body as of now.

Anderson has many black-out tattoos, where large areas are colored completely black. She also has piercings, scarification on her head. Furthermore, she got a split tongue done from Germany as UK’s law prevents piercing parlours from carrying out the procedure, Metro reported.

Anderson rubbished her friends’ warnings that she can’t be employed in the future due to her tattoos. “I’ve got my own flat and honestly I live a very normal life,” she said.

Back in 2018, a 28-year-old woman from Phoenix, Arizona paid such a heartfelt tattoo-tribute to her late mother. Caitlin Hallock got her deceased mother’s voice broken down into sound waves and inked that unique pattern in her arm. One could simply play the voice by holding a phone over it.
