Woman Having Extramarital Affair With Cousin Slits Husband's Throat

In a shocking incident, a woman slit her husband's throat and killed him in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. According to local media, the woman was having an extramarital affair with her cousin.

The woman took the help of her lover in murdering her husband, who has been identified as 22-year-old Vikram Thakur, according to local media reports. The incident took place in Agra's Khanda village.

Police told local media that the accused colluded with her lover, who was an immediate neighbor of the couple and the woman's cousin, in killing the victim.

"The woman has been arrested while her paramour Pratap is still absconding. We have booked Raveena under Section 302 of the Indian penal Code (IPC). We are yet to recover the murder weapon. Once the other accused is arrested, we hope to recover the murder weapon," said Mahendra Singh Yadav, a police official.

The accused, who was arrested by local police, allegedly strangled her husband to death. The incident took place in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh in January. The victim was strangulated with a skipping rope after the couple had an argument, local police said at the time.
