‘Wonder Woman’ Gets PG-13 Rating: Find Out Why
Even though Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman, is a good role model to young kids everywhere, those who are under the age of 13 will not be able to watch her standalone film without parental supervision.
The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has just officially declared that Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman” film is rated PG-13, according to Batman News. The MPAA explained that the film was given this rating because of “sequences of violence and action, and some suggestive content.”

Meanwhile, Gadot earlier told Comic Book that even though the movie features a heroine, guys should still give the movie a chance. She understands that some guys only want to watch movies of their heroes, but she believes there’s nothing wrong with men looking up to Wonder Woman.
“This is a truly universal story,” she said. “It's such a universal story. It's a beautiful story about a beautiful soul trying to save the world and doing battle and she doesn't know much about what she's getting into. She's very naïve, but the love of her life is educating her and showing her, in a very sophisticated way, he shows her the reality that she got into. It's just a beautiful love story about a girl who's growing up.”
At the same time, those belonging to the LGBT community can actually relate to Gadot’s character as well. “Wonder Woman” comic book writer Greg Rucka told Comicosity that the beloved superhero from Themyscira is actually bisexual.
People really embraced this development, including Gadot herself. The actress told Variety that even though Diana Prince’s bisexuality wasn’t explored in her standalone film, her attraction towards women actually makes a lot of sense.
“Wonder Woman” will be released on June 2.
