WrestleMania 2021: Matches, Predictions, Start Time, How To Watch 37th WWE Event
For the second year in a row, WrestleMania will be a two-night event. Unlike WrestleMania 36 in 2020, WrestleMania 37 will feature a live crowd for WWE’s biggest show.
Roman Reigns was a late scratch from the WrestleMania 36 card. The WWE Universal champion highlights this year’s card in the most highly anticipated match of WrestleMania 37.
WrestleMania mainstays like The Undertaker, John Cena and Brock Lesnar aren’t scheduled to have a match. Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are also notable absences from the card.
With the WWE Network no longer available in the United States, fans can only watch WrestleMania 37 by streaming it on Peacock. The show starts at 8 p.m. EDT Saturday from Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium. Night two of the show begins at 8 p.m. EDT Sunday from the same venue.
Here’s a look at the entire WrestleMania 2021 card, along with predictions for each match.
Saturday, April 10
WWE Championship Match: Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre
It was a surprise when McIntyre lost the title at Elimination Chamber. He’ll win the belt back and get the crowd reaction he was robbed of last year when fans weren’t allowed to attend WrestleMania.
Prediction: Drew McIntyre
SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair
Banks has already established herself as a top wrestler in WWE, and Belair has all kinds of star potential. The Royal Rumble winner should earn her first title on WWE’s grandest stage.
Prediction: Bianca Belair
Bad Bunny & Damian Priest vs. The Miz & John Morrison
The babyface celebrities usually win their WrestleMania matches. Look for Bad Bunny to pin The Miz Saturday night.
Prediction: Bad Bunny & Damian Priest
Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins
WWE has never been willing to give Cesaro the push that many fans believe he deserves. Rollins remains one of the company’s top heels, and the former WWE champion will probably get himself another WrestleMania victory.
Prediction: Seth Rollins
Raw Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day vs. AJ Styles & Omos
The inclusion of Styles and Omos in the tag team title picture felt very sudden. This might’ve just been a way to get them on the card, so Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are a good bet to retain their championships.
Prediction: The New Day
Steel Cage Match: Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon
WWE can’t have its “Monster Among Men” lose to someone who isn’t a professional wrestler. The biggest question of the match is what kind of dangerous feat McMahon will attempt.
Prediction: Braun Strowman
WWE Women's Tag Team Turmoil Match: Naomi & Lana vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke vs. The Riott Squad vs. Natalya & Tamina
Considering the winner of this match will face the heel pairing of Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax, a babyface team is going to come out on top. Naomi & Lana make the most sense, considering WWE has pushed them at various times in the last couple of years.
Sunday, April 11
Universal Championship Triple Threat Match: Roman Reigns vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan
Reigns has been such a strong heel that WWE needs to make sure it's a special moment when he finally loses the title. Edge and Daniel Bryan are already established as WWE legends, and neither would gain much from beating the champ.
Prediction: Roman Reigns
The Fiend vs. Randy Orton
The Fiend is the biggest betting favorite of WrestleMania 37 with good reason. After such a long build-up for his return, he’s going to beat Orton.
Prediction: The Fiend
Intercontinental Championship Nigerian Drum Fight Match: Big E vs. Apollo Crews
This match could go either way. WWE might ultimately decide to keep the belt on Big E, who should continue to be pushed as a top singles wrestler.
Prediction: Big E
Raw Women’s Championship Match: Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley
WWE seemingly dropped the ball with Ripley when she was defeated at WrestleMania 36 and fell from the top of the card in NXT. Pinning the virtually unbeatable Asuka could go a long way in getting Ripley back to where she was a year ago.
Prediction: Rhea Ripley
United States Championship Match: Riddle vs. Sheamus
There wouldn’t be much benefit to having Sheamus win this match. Riddle has earned the chance to have an extended U.S. Title run.
Prediction: Riddle
Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn
Owens has arguably been WWE’s most consistent performer since he joined the roster six years ago. He’ll beat his long-time rival in what could be one of the best matches on the card.
Prediction: Riddle
WWE Women's Tag Team Title Match: Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax vs. the winner of the Tag Team Turmoil Match from Night 1
Without an established babyface tag team that has gained popularity, Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax should keep the belts until further notice.
Prediction: Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax
