WhatsApp founder Jan Koum bit into Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) on Twitter, claiming the new iMessage features unveiled at Monday’s World Wide Developers Conference aren’t anything new.

Koum was referring to Apple’s plan to implement location-based integration into iMessage, the messaging service in iOS 8. WhatsApp, which Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) agreed to acquire in February for $19 billion, already uses mapping features to let users know the location of their friends who use the app.
