KEY POINTS

  • Brock Lesnar recently bagged his sixth WWE Championship
  • He returned from suspension at the end of November
  • Lesnar lost the Universal Championship to Reigns earlier this year

Brock Lesnar, the current WWE Champion, is set to appear at next week's edition of Monday Night RAW. The 44-year-old has featured in every episode of SmackDown ever since his return from a suspension at the end of November.

Lesnar won the WWE Championship at Saturday's Day 1 pay-per-view, beating Big E, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and Kevin Owens in a Fatal Five-Way bout. On the post-Day 1 edition of RAW, Lesnar reunited with his longtime advocate Paul Heyman, whom Roman Reigns had fired on Dec. 17’s edition of SmackDown.

The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, the venue of next week's episode of WWE RAW, revealed on social media Wednesday Brock Lesnar will be in the house for RAW next week.

"JUST ANNOUNCED! The New @WWE Champion, 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar will be live in Philly Next Monday for Monday Night RAW!" The Wells Fargo Center tweeted.

The upcoming Monday Night RAW will mark the seventh straight week that the 44-year-old wrestler will appear live on WWE programming.

Lesnar had never been featured live on so many occasions on his previous WWE contract. It is believed that the new deal that Lesnar signed with the WWE company back in August was more lucrative than fans could have imagined.

If Lesnar manages to appear regularly on both RAW and SmackDown in the lead-up to WrestleMania, in what is the most important time of the year in the WWE, it could be a massive boost for the company.

While Lesnar is currently lined up to defend his WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley at the Royal Rumble, which is scheduled to take place on Jan. 30 at Missouri’s The Dome at America's Center, the six-time WWE champion is also continuing his storyline with Roman Reigns over on SmackDown.

Earlier this year, when Lesnar returned to WWE in August, after being away for nearly one and a half years, The Beast Incarnate immediately turned babyface and set his sights on Universal Champion Reigns.

The two came face to face eventually at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia. Lesnar, who ended The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania, lost the match, thanks to interference from The Usos.

The result left Lesnar angered, who made his presence felt the following night on SmackDown. He attacked the WWE crew around ringside and the superstars who tried to calm him down. It was the final strike for Lesnar when he attacked WWE official Adam Pearce, delivering an F5 to him in the middle of the ring. Pearce suspended Lesnar indefinitely because of his actions and also fined him $1,000,000.
