Dwayne The Rock Johnson is without a doubt one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. The way he delivers his moves and sells his opponent has made him one of the best performers to watch. The way he managed his way inside the ring and coupled it with excellent mic skills propelled his career to greatness.
His dominance inside the WWE ring served as a bridge to his Hollywood career. He’s one of the world’s biggest action stars and is seen as a highly influential movie icon. With all of the accomplishments he’s achieved, the Rock is also known to be a family man.
His daughter Simone is on track to make history for the WWE. The 18-year-old daughter of the great one has begun her training at the WWE Performance Center.
She will be the first fourth-generation superstar to grace the WWE ring. She follows a lineage of great wrestlers that includes her great grandfather the High Chief Peter Maivia. Her grandfather the late great Rocky Johnson has also been an influence on her wrestling career.
“It means the world to me,” Johnson said. “To know that my family has such a personal connection to wrestling is really special to me and I feel grateful to have the opportunity, not only to wrestle but to carry on that legacy.”
She has garnered already the attention and support from the wrestling world. Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Triple H took to Twitter on Simone Johnson’s milestone.
Her mother Dany Garcia also shared how much potential Simone has for the future.
The younger Johnson wrote on her Instagram page regarding the news of her starting her training. “To the little girl who fell in love with wrestling & said ‘this will be my life one day,’ this is for you. I’m humbled, grateful & ready to work. Let’s do this.”
While the expectations are high, she has already made impressive progress in her start. Per CNN, her coaches have already lauded her for her performance. "She's like a sponge, it's pretty amazing. She knows what it takes to succeed and all the hard work and sacrifice that goes into it. I wouldn't have expected anything less," said WWE Assistant Head Coach Sara Amato.
