Roman Reigns has revealed the place that does not acknowledge him or care for who he is.
In less than a fortnight, Reigns is going to compete in the biggest match of his career. He is set to take on WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in a title unification match during the much-awaited WrestleMania 38. Lesnar and Reigns’ fight is scheduled to take place on the second night of the two-day event.
The Tribal Chief has been intensely training for the historic fight. He revealed on social media that the gym is the only place that "does not care who I am."
"The gym is the only place that does not acknowledge me, does not care who I am. The weights, they don't lie. If you can't pick them up. You can't pick them up. They will push you every single time and that's what I've continued to do," Reigns was quoted by Sportskeeda, as saying in the video posted by WWE Company.
The Universal Champion went on to explain how his gym routines help him get stronger as the match goes on.
"For some athletes, what you do in the weight room doesn't translate to the field. Everything that I do in the weight room will translate to the ring. My explosion, my power, my strength, my conditioning, doesn't matter how long the match is I get stronger and stronger as it goes. The second wind comes like that,” said Reigns.
"I still believe in the old school the nitty-gritty barbells dumbbells, pick up the weight, control the weight on the weight and that's what I do compound lifts deadlift, power clean, bent over rows, these things they're classic lifts," added Reigns in the same video.
Following Lesnar's Royal Rumble win, it was confirmed that he would face off against Reigns at 'The Show of Shows' in April. However, the stakes became higher when Lesnar reclaimed his WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, it was earlier reported that in the lead-up to the big day in WrestleMania, Lesnar and Reigns would come face to face next week on WWE RAW. WrestleMania 38 is going to begin on April 2 and is set to take place at Texas' AT&T Stadium.
Earlier this month, Reigns beat up Lesnar at the Madison Square Garden Live event. As a result, the Beat Incarnate appeared on Friday’s SmackDown even though he was not scheduled to feature in it. The WWE Champion then claimed he was coming for blood at WrestleMania.
