WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar's 'Bad News' Ahead Of WrestleMania 36 Revealed
KEY POINTS
- Vince McMahon is backing Drew McIntyre as the new superstar of WWE
- McIntyre recently won the Royal Rumble 2020
- WrestleMania 36 will be held in April in Florida
The chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Vince McMahon, reportedly is backing Drew McIntyre as the next babyface and superstar of his company.
The latest update has not come good for current WWE Universal Champions Brock Lesnar as it is understood that the boss wants McIntyre to win the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar. In addition to that, there are already plans in place for McIntyre’s post-Mania feuds and Seth Rollins is one the likely candidates for the same this summer.
Unfolding the great relationship between McMahon and McIntyre, a source told Wrestlingnews, "Vince likes everything about him and thinks he represents the company well when he does media appearances. He looks good and talks good and that is what Vince is looking for. Drew has already established a relationship with Vince like most top guys do.”
Speaking further about McIntyre, who was the one to eliminate Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble 2020 and eventually won the event, the source added, ”In the coming weeks, WWE will tell the story of McIntyre’s first run and exit from the company in 2014 and how he’s matured into what he has become today.”
The gears are likely to shift to McIntyre at the upcoming WrestleMania 36, which is scheduled to be held on April 6 at the Raymond James Stadium in Florida’s Tampa.
Both McMahon and Triple H have shown support widely for McIntyre but that was of no use when he returned to WWE’s main roster in April 2018. Even though McIntyre has been considered as one of the most all-rounded performers among the current wrestlers, he was not pushed up in WWE for a very long time. It all changed only last year when McIntyre began to receive the attention and importance that many fans thought he should have got a long time ago.
The report also stated that McMahon is not likely to change his mind in regards to making McIntyre the next face of his WWE Company.
