KEY POINTS

  • Paul Heyman avoids questions of possible reunion with Brock Lesnar
  • Heyman could manage Lesnar and Roman Reigns simultaneously
  • Lesnar vs. Reigns collission may eventually happen

Before flipping the script, Paul Heyman has long been the guy behind Brock Lesnar.

But with no word on when the "Beast Incarnate" will return, the 55-year-old ended up with an on-screen roll dubbed "Special Counsel" to reigning WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

This was the direction the WWE decided to go, one that saw the "Big Dog" shifting from face to heel. So far, the run has hit it well with wrestling fans.

However, questions are up in the air, particularly when it comes to Heyman’s loyalty. Will thing be the same if Lesnar makes his WWE return?

Heyman answered that question during an interview with TalkSport. He explained how Lesnar has been around long enough to know what he wants to do and that is not going to change moving forward.

“The safest thing that I can say for my well-being is that Brock Lesnar does whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do. It has been that way since Brock Lesnar was five years old, and I don’t think that’s going to change anytime soon. I’m sticking to that soundbite,” Heyman said.

Lesnar was last seen at WrestleMania 36 where he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre.

The 43-year-old performer is not under contract with the sports-entertainment promotion, and Heyman revealed that Lesnar is enjoying life as a farmer and a dad.

Furthermore, Heyman bared that a Lesnar return may only happen if something intrigues him to return to the WWE fold.

Considering the organizations brings back iconic figures by the time WrestleMania nears, there is a possibility that he may lace up his boots again

Now the question is which side will Heyman be on? Considering Reigns is on SmackDown and Lesnar is a mainstay on Mondy Night Raw, he could end up managing both.

But what if it reaches the point where Reigns and Lesnar cross paths again?

That is something Heyman could use as a storyline, but choosing a side will be tricky. Seeing how Reigns effectively plays the antagonist right now, Lesnar could come back as a face character.

If that holds up, Heyman is likely to stick with the "Tribal Chief" unless the creative team chooses to take a different route.

For now, Reigns and Heyman are enjoying their ride. The former Shield stable member faced and won over Drew McIntyre at the recently-concluded Survivor Series pay-per-view event.
