WWE Rumors: Roman Reigns Could Resume Feud With Brock Lesnar [Details]
KEY POINTS
- Roman Reigns is an undisputed WWE and Universal Champion
- His next challenger is yet to be confirmed
- Lesnar and Reigns will feature in the "Money in the Bank" event in July
WWE is reportedly planning to rekindle the feud between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.
Reigns defeated Lesnar earlier this month at WrestleMania 38 in the "Title vs. Title" fight and became the undisputed WWE and Universal Champion. Ever since his defeat, Lesnar has been absent from the WWE programming.
While WWE is yet to confirm Reigns' next challenger, they may be coming up with another feud between these arch-rivals in the not-so-distant future, said Dave Meltzer, who has a credible record in professional wrestling.
Lesnar is scheduled to return for "Money In The Bank," which is scheduled to take place in July. The event will also feature Reigns, who has also not started a feud with anyone else. WWE has four big shows starting in July, and it is looking for credible opponents for The Head of the Table. Considering the lack of top-card stars, WWE could go back to the Reigns vs. Lesnar feud.
"You got July the second, you got July 30th, you got September the third and you got Saudi in October. So four major major events. It's weird, but I guess they'll probably go back to Reigns vs Lesnar at some point too. Just because they don't have anything else," Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio, reported Sportskeeda.
The WWE Company is gearing up for a major event in Cardiff in September, where Drew McIntyre will likely have a match against Reigns on the show. The name of the pay-per-view event, which will take place on Sept. 3, is yet to be revealed, according to Sportster.com. Also, Reigns will still need major challengers for SummerSlam and the Saudi Arabia show.
Earlier, 10-time World Champion Randy Orton had taken a dig at Reigns, saying the Tribal Chief will definitely betray the WWE Company for a move to Hollywood.
