WWE Rumors: Roman Reigns Could Spark Cousin vs. Cousin Showdown With Jey Uso

Roman Reigns retained his WWE Universal Championship at WWE TLC and got the expected help from his real-life cousin Jey Uso.

The odds were too much for Kevin Owen although most hardly expected a title-change to happen.

With Uso once again helping Reigns keep his WWE title, it will be interesting if the "Tribal Chief" was happy with the effort. If the 35-year-old gives his cousin the same treatment after conquering Drew McIntyre at the 2020 WWE Survivor series, sparks could fly at the Dec. 21 edition of WWE Raw.

Recall how Reigns chastised his cousin despite providing an assist at that time.

Rather than thank him, Reigns ended up criticizing his cousin for his failure in helping Team Smackdown in their Survivor Series match against Team Raw.

Most know that the star from the red branded dominated against team blue during that WWE pay-per-view. Uso was the last Smackdown superstar to be eliminated.

Of course, the scenario was a whole lot different at WWE TLC. Uso was part of the Tribal Chief’s entourage and helped his cousin anew against Owens. It will be interesting if his efforts were enough to get the good graces of Reigns.

Much of that should be answered on WWE Raw. Reigns could be more appreciative with Uso possibly getting a big sigh of relief. But then again, the 35-year-old could turn on his cousin at some moment and set the stage of a cousin vs. cousin clash with the WWE Universal title and the "Tribal Chief" tag on the line.

It may all depend on whether the creative team feels it is time to unleash Uso who is being built up to make a singles run. If not, it could pave the way for the highly-awaited clash between Bill Goldberg and Reigns.

In a previous post, the 53-year-old surprised many by many when Goldberg said that he had unfinished business with Reigns. They were originally set to face-off at WrestleMania 36, but the latter begged off since he is a cancer-survivor and attended to his pregnant wife.

It is something that most feel would happen at WrestleMania 37, especially with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson unlikely available. Hence, there could be two plots to expect on WWE Raw to figure out “who’s next” for the WWE Universal Champion.
