  • Seth Rollins hints that he might be included in the main event of WrestleMania 38
  • WWE choosing Brock Lesnar to win the Royal Rumble match has been a decision questioned by fans
  • Rollins and Lesnar are set to compete in the Elimination Chamber match on February 19

Brock Lesnar winning the men’s Royal Rumble match has received a mixed reception from WWE fans as the third matchup with Universal Champion Roman Reigns looks to be set for WrestleMania 38, but Seth Rollins’ latest comments may affect that matchup.

In an interview with Radio Row, Rollins was sly enough to hint that him being inserted in the main event of the promotion’s grandest spectacle of their pro wrestling calendar is a major possibility.

“I ensured that my presence was felt in a Brock [Lesnar] – Roman [Reigns] match once before at WrestleMania [31], so who’s to say I couldn’t do it again? Who knows? We are roughly seven, eight weeks out from WrestleMania at this point now, so anything can happen between now and then,” Rollins said.

The two-time WWE and Universal Champion is referring to the moment that he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase in the main event of WrestleMania 31, where it seemed as if Reigns was closing in on capturing the WWE Championship then held by Lesnar.

Reigns would take the Curb Stomp finisher from Rollins and the subsequent pin, making it one of the most memorable moments in recent WrestleMania history.

Fans were hoping for a change of pace in terms of who would win the men’s Royal Rumble match as Lesnar winning the title was way too predictable after he dropped the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley immediately preceding the match.

There were rumors that former Raw Tag Team Champion Riddle was supposed to win the match until the changes were made to have Lesnar win it.

Adding Rollins to the mix at WrestleMania 38 further complicates the outcome as the leading theory among fans is that it will be a title-versus-title match between Lesnar and Reigns–if Lesnar wins the title at the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Also Joining Lesnar and Lashley in the men’s Elimination Chamber match are Riddle, Austin Theory and AJ Styles, making it a must-watch match as the outcome will affect the main event of WrestleMania.

Riddle winning the title would be a great option for WWE to do, and it will most likely lead to him and RK-Bro tag team partner Randy Orton feuding over the belt at WrestleMania.

This happening has major implications for the singles scene, but will deplete their already thinned-out tag team roster since a breakup would be imminent.

Rollins winning would also be a surprise outcome, but he currently has no long-term storyline that could be leveraged into a must-watch storyline come WrestleMania season.

WWE fans’ attention now turn to the Elimination Chamber event on February 19 at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
