From the current RAW roster, the wrestlers who are being pushed to fight Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble are Drew McIntyre, Erick Rowan, Seth Rollins and Aleister Black. WWE reportedly is seeing Brock Lesnar's Royal Rumble match as a lead-up fight before his WrestleMania showdown and which is why the company is not seeking for a "super challenger" for the WWE champion at the Royal Rumble.

Meltzer also mentioned that the retired wrestler Edge, who is looking to make his comeback, has been dismissed as a potential opponent for Lesnar. It is understood that the coming weeks will surely give a proper picture of WWE company’s plans for one of its star wrestlers.
