‘The X-Files’ Season 11 Spoilers: Names Of Writers Involved In FOX Series Revealed
“The X-Files” Season 11 official writers’ names have just been unveiled.
According to TV Line, the upcoming 11th season of the hit FOX series will consist of 10 episodes just like Season 10. Series creator Chris Carter will reunite with former producers Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan and James Wong for the upcoming installments. All three producers were also involved in writing and directing six of the 10 episodes from last season.

The four execs will be joined by a slew of relative newbies, namely, Gabe Rotter, Benjamin Van Allen and Brad Follmer. However, Season 11 will not be their first time being involved in “The X-Files.” Rotter served as a writer’s assistant in Season 9, while Van Allen worked as a writer’s assistant in Season 10. Follmer worked closely with Carter as the creator’s assistant for Seasons 8 and 9.
As of late, it is still unclear how many episodes each of the old and new writers will take on for Season 11. What is only known is that Carter will still oversee their work as he did for all the previous seasons.
Meanwhile, fans were hopeful that Season 11 could mark the official return of Vince Gilligan and Frank Spotnitz. Unfortunately, this isn’t likely to happen. In fact, there were also some rumors earlier this year suggesting that the FOX series will no longer be renewed.
In April, David Madden, president of FOX Broadcasting Company, released a statement (via Deadline) revealing the actual reason why they decided to not cancel the series. “Iconic characters, rich storytelling, bold creators – these are the hallmarks of great TV shows. And they are some of the reasons why ‘The X-Files’ has had such a profound impact on millions of fans worldwide. Chris’ creativity, along with the brilliant work of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, continue to propel this pop culture phenomenon, and we can’t wait to see what fresh mysteries Mudler and Scully uncover in this next chapter of ‘The X-Files,’” he said.
Production for Season 11 is set to kick off later this summer, and the premiere for “The X-Files” is scheduled for 2018.
