'X-Men: Apocalypse' Actor Michael Fassbender Marries 'Tomb Raider' Star Alicia Vikander
Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander just got married.
The "X-Men: Apocalypse" actor and the "Ex Machina" star, who are notorious for keeping their romance under wraps, secretly got engaged and later secretly tied the knot as well, according to E! News. The couple reportedly exchanged "I do's" in Ibiza on Saturday, October 14. Fassbender and Vikander were seen entertaining relatives and friends over the weekend.
On Friday, Fassbender and Vikander, along with their families and friends, were spotted at the beach, where they enjoyed lunch and went on a boat cruise. The group had a professional photographer who took group shots.
Vikander reportedly wore a white dress and looked happy and at ease. She took photos of the guests and, at one point, snuggled up to Fassbender for a kiss. The couple reportedly cuddled from time to time, according to an eyewitness. Later in the day, everyone boarded a sailboat and enjoyed a sunset party where they toasted with champagne.
Although Fassbender and Vikander have not yet confirmed their wedding, in new photos shared by Daily Mail, the couple seems to already be wearing bands on their left fingers. They also looked happy and relaxed post-wedding. In the snaps, the "Jason Bourne" star wore a blue floral, ruffle dress. She had her hair in two braids and tied them back in a low bun. Meanwhile, Fassbender sported a Hawaiian-print shirt that he left unbuttoned over a white tank top.
According to the publication, the couple walked around entertaining their guests, who gathered together at the Mediterranean island for their big day. From time to time, Fassbender and Vikander reunite to check on each other. They were even photographed sharing a passionate kiss.
The two actors met on the set of "The Light Between Oceans" in 2014. In the film, Vikander played Fassbender's wife, People reported. There were already rumors that they were dating at the time, but they kept mum and maintained a low-key relationship.
The publication added that while they often avoid talking about their relationship in interviews, Fassbender and Vikander are more open when it comes to praising each other's acting skills. "I knew that Michael was attached to play Tom, and I think he’s one of the most brilliant actors out there," Vikander said about her man.
"I was kind of scared when Alicia came—she was so fierce and hungry," Fassbender said of Vikander. "I really felt like I had to get my [expletive] together … and just be there and be as present as she was."
