Xbox Live Games With Gold June 2017: Here's June's Free Games With Gold

For Xbox Live Gold subscribers, June’s free roster of games is anchored around a mix of major flagship franchise titles and indie options.

Microsoft confirmed that June’s Xbox Live Games With Gold program will be headlined with Watch Dogs , Dragon Age: Origins and Assassin’s Creed III . Subscribers to Xbox Live Gold can get free games through Microsoft with the Games With Gold program every month.

Originally released in 2014, Watch Dogs comes from developer Ubisoft. The open-world third-person shooter puts you into the role of hacker Aiden Pearce. Set in current-day Chicago, players must use a mix of hacking mechanics and shooting gameplay against foes. The game was followed by 2016’s Watch Dogs 2 .

For Xbox subscribers, the game will be available from June 16 to July 15. Check out a trailer for the game below:

Ubisoft also makes another entry for June’s Xbox Live Games With Gold roster with 2012’s Assassin’s Creed IIII. As the concluding chapter in the first Assassin’s Creed series, the game took a major departure from the initial games’ Roman and Turkish settings, instead moving to the American Revolution and the 18th century.

In the game, you take on the role of Ratonhnhaké:ton, a Mohawk man who is related to the assassins at the heart of the Assassin’s Creed series. The title features the franchise’s mix of third-person platforming and combat action, along with newer hunting and fighting mechanics.

Assassin’s Creed III is available on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 and will be on Games With Gold June 1-15. Check out the game’s trailer here:

Dragon Age: Origins came from developer BioWare and was originally released in 2009. In the action role-playing title, players command a team of characters from the fantasy-inspired world of Ferelden. The series was then followed by 2011’s Dragon Age II and 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition . BioWare is also best known for franchises like the Mass Effect series.

The game will be available to Xbox 360 and Xbox One users June 16-30. Check out Dragon Age: Origins ’ trailer below:

Other games that’ll be available from Games With Gold in June include the indie sidescroller SpeedRunners and the downloadable content pack for the free action strategy game Phantom Dust . Both titles will be available for the whole month of June.

May’s Games with Gold lineup was headlined by Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and several games from the “Star Wars” series.
