Xiaomi Mi Max Preorder Begins In US For $340, Shipping Date Set In June
Xiaomi launched a mammoth 6.44-inch display clad "Mi Max" phablet very recently. Some tech portals are referring this device as “Xiaomi Max” instead. Now, the same device is available for preorder in the U.S. via a third-party seller.
Banggood, known for selling international variants of electronic devices to jewelry online, is now taking preorders of Xiaomi Mi Max for $340. Technically, the listed price is $357.99. However, upon using the following coupon code “5off4cellphone”, buyers can get $18 discount and hence, the final price is $340 at the checkout, Gizmo China reported.
Although there are three different models, Banggood is selling only the Mi Max model with 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 650 and 32GB of native storage onboard. The seller has listed both Gold and White variants of the Xiaomi Mi Max for preorder.
Upon preordering the device, U.S. customers can avail free shipping service via Air Parcel. The seller’s portal says the stock will reach the warehouse on June 13, 2016, which can be construed as the possible shipping commencement date.
Speaking of specifications and features, the Xiaomi Mi Max’s 6.44-inch gigantic display comes packed with a modest 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution. This device flaunts a metal unibody design with curved edges.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS runs the device out of the box with MIUI 8 on top of it. This handset sports a 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear and front-facing shooters, respectively. Dual-LED flash is mounted on the back of the Mi Max.
Apart from the standard connectivity options, the Xiaomi Mi Max supports 4G LTE and NFC. Similar to many Xiaomi handsets, this device also supports dual-SIM cards. As the fingerprint scanner has become a norm rather than an exception, this phone also comes with one.
The highlight of Xiaomi Mi Max is the generous 4,850 mAh non-removable battery cell.
