The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is heavily speculated to release on Nov. 24. Fresh rumors reveal that the Chinese firm will be unleashing the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 tablet alongside the new handset.
Yesterday, Lin Bin who is the co-founder of Xiaomi had revealed a photo the Redmi Note 2 Pro on his Weibo account. Today, he has posted a new image that shows a side view of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 tablet, Phone Radar reported. Since the device appears to be quite slim and does not feature a LED flash for its rear camera, speculations are suggesting that Bin is hinting the impending announcement of the Mi Pad 2.
The image clearly shows that the purported tablet features the power button and volume controllers on its right side. According to GeekBench benchmark record of the Mi Pad 2 tablet, it houses an Intel Atom X5-Z8500 chipset that includes a 2.24 GHz quad-core processor. The SoC managed to record single-core score of 985 and multi-core score of 3268 on GeekBench.
The Intel chip will be supported by 2 GB of RAM. The original Mi Pad from 2014 is powered by the Tegra K1 chipset that features a 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU. It will arrive preinstalled with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. However, other rumors have claimed that the device may arrive with Windows 10 OS onboard.
Like the predecessor model, it Mi Pad 2 is expected to feature a 7.9-inch display. However, unlike the plastic chassis of the predecessor model, the newer tablet is rumored to feature metallic frame.
It seems that Xiaomi is all set to launch Mi Pad 2 and Redmi Note 2 Pro in the home country at the China National Convention Center on Nov. 24. As far as Xiaomi Mi 5 release date is concerned, speculations are still indicating that the flagship will be unleashed through a dedicated event that will be held on Dec. 3.
