Xiaomi Notebook Release Date Pegged In July To Rival Apple MacBook Pro 2016

Xiaomi is rumored to be working on a Windows 10 powered notebook. The laptop that is dubbed as Mi Notebook by the rumor mill is slated to get announced in July with an affordable price tag.

A leakster from China, @Mocha RQ, has revealed some information on the rumored Mi Notebook on Weibo, the microblogging site of China, Gizmo China reported. The tipster has a decent track record of revealing accurate information on upcoming devices.

According to the tipster, the rumored Xiaomi notebook will be released in summer and its launch event is expected to take place in around a month. Hence, speculations are rife that the Xiaomi Mi Notebook will be announced in July. The rumor mill has revealed that the Chinese manufacturer had started the mass production of the upcoming Xiaomi laptop in the previous month.

Mobi Picker has reported that the previous rumors have revealed that Xiaomi Mi Notebook will be available in CPU variants of Intel Skylake Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The highest configuration model may feature 8 GB of RAM. The base model of the laptop is expected to carry a pricing of about $450.

The rumored Xiaomi laptop will run on Windows 10 and it is expected to sport a display of 12.5 or 13.3 inches. Hence, speculations are suggesting that the Xiaomi laptop with its affordable pricing will arrive as a solid competitor for Apple MacBook Pro 2016 or MacBook Air 2016.

The Xiaomi laptop will be sporting an aluminum chassis like the MacBook devices. Sources from the supply chain have revealed that Xiaomi will ship 1 million units of the laptop in the first year. The Chinese manufacturer is also expected to announce a smartwatch in the near future. The Xiaomi smartwatch is rumored to arrive in two variants with a starting price of $152.
