Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro: Fresh Official Teaser Points To Slimmer Profile, Ahead Of Nov. 24 Release
Xiaomi’s special event earmarked for Nov.24 will see a slew of high-end devices getting unveiled. However, one such device got confirmed recently. Xiaomi President Lin Bin uploaded a photo of the Redmi Note 2 Pro showing the back panel and in the process, confirmed the fingerprint scanner. However, thus far, there is no word on the flagship Xiaomi Mi 5.
As it turns out, Xiaomi’s Weibo account has been active like never-before ahead of the Nov. 24 launch date. Very recently, the company published the invitation and the image of the Redmi Note 2 Pro. Now, a fresh teaser points out that the upcoming smartphone will be thinner like never-before, Gizmo China reported.
Meanwhile, according to GSM Arena, the title of the Weibo post states the new device will be “uncompromising.” This could mean that Redmi Note 2 Pro will not only be slim, it could also house a bigger battery unit. Therefore, there’s no compromise. As of today, rumor has it that the phone will carry a 3,060 mAh battery cell.
Other reported Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro specifications include a cool 5.5-inch display, aided by 1080p resolution. The device is believed to flaunt a solid 13-megapixel rear-facing camera unit, in addition to a 5-megapixel snapper at the front for selfies and video chats.
Under the hood, a MediaTek MT6795 (Helio X10) processor is rumored to power the handset. Plus, a good-enough 2 GB of RAM configuration will also be part of the specifications list. The handset will reportedly come equipped with 16 GB of internal storage capacity.
Speaking of software configuration, there is no Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Instead, Xiaomi will apparently settle for Android Lollipop with custom MIUI skin on top of it. In any case, readers are advised to take the rumored Redmi Note 2 Pro specifications with the proverbial pinch of salt as Xiaomi has not confirmed any details thus far.
