Xur Exotic Items This Week

There's a brand new online multiplayer game everyone is talking about, but the weekend has arrived, which means Xur is back selling exotic items in "Destiny." The merchant is holding his usual shop hours from Friday 5 a.m. EST to Sunday 5 a.m. EST, but players will need to make sure their clocks are set right for Daylight Saving Time otherwise they may be an hour late.

After a couple of weeks where Xur was selling weapons, this week is all about armor. The merchant can be found in the Tower to the right. After a few corridors and going down a few stairs, Xur can be found in the back next to a few couches. While not as appealing as a rocket launcher, there may be some gear players would want to purchase.

  • Helmet: Achlyophage Symbiote (Hunter)
  • Chest Armor: Heart of the Praxic Fire
  • Exotic Helmet Engram
  • Legacy Helmet Engram

  • Three of Coins

For a Titan character, An Insurmountable Skullfort is a versatile helmet. The Achlyophage Symbiote for a Hunter character includes an additional Gold Gun bullet and a boost in intellect. The Heart of the Praxic Fire armor is a worthy addition to any Sunsinger's collection. Instead of another armor or weapon, Xur is selling an Exotic Helmet Engram for a Year 2 version helmet.

Bungie's usual Thursday update was not posted on its website, but the developers were busy improving the matchmaking experience for players. The new update improves Crucible matchmaking by increasing the window to find another player. As part of its weekly Twitch stream, Bungie's audio team discussed the process to bring the music and sounds of "Destiny" to life.
