Yap.TV, a social TV guide app for iOS added enhanced navigation, instant live chat and connects users with friends and social circle in its updated version 3.0 on Wednesday.

“There are thousands of shows to watch across hundreds of channels, and yap.TV makes finding what to watch a snap. Tap and swipe through our 100 percent visual TV guide, browse by category, the social Top 20, movies, and more,” says the press release.

Users can share what they are watching with their social circles and chat with their friends and family within the app itself.

The latest version gives a better visual experience.

The iPad version, which includes a movie-browsing mode, can be browsed using a 100 percent picture based guide.

The social features in the yap.TV makes it different. The app lets users see what people are saying about a show on Twitter. In addition, viewers can browse through yap.TV polls, as well as create new polls for other yap.TV users to vote on.
