Yolanda Foster-David Foster Divorce: David Breaks Silence, Speaks Out Against ‘Inaccurate’ Information

Weeks after news of Yolanda Foster and David Foster’s separation came out, David has broken his silence for the first time and released a statement to speak out against false reports about the couple’s four year marriage.

In a statement released to E!News, David mentioned that a “great deal of inaccurate or baseless information has been reported” which claimed to have represented the music producer’s feelings and thoughts about his separation from Yolanda. He added, "It is painful to watch this happen repeatedly – especially while trying to cope with the personal nature of the challenges surrounding the breakup of our loving marriage."

David has also addressed reports which questioned the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star’s health condition, specifically Yolanda’s battle with Lyme disease. In David’s statement, he said, "I have always had and continue to have the utmost respect and love for Yolanda. Which is why it is so frustrating to see headlines questioning her chronic debilitating illness."

He went on to share that he has supported his former wife “to the best of [his] ability,” during the course of their four year marriage while she fought through Lyme disease. David also applauded Yolanda for her strength and determination in finding a cure for the disease. He stated, "I am incredibly proud of Yolanda's determination and mission to find a cure, and how brave and open she has been by sharing her story in the hopes of changing the future for others."

Yolanda was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, just a year after she and David were married. Previous reports stated that the former Hollywood couple’s split was due to David’s busy schedule and Yolanda’s illness. Meanwhile, previous reports also indicated that the two celebrities also had to deal with trying to blend their children from separate marriages into one family. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star has three children with ex-husband Mohamed Hadid, namely Gigi Hadid, Bella and Anwar. Meanwhile, David has five daughters from his previous relationships.

Yolanda and David announced their separation on Dec. 1.
