‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Billy Unveils His Secret Project
His late nights at the office caused his girlfriend some major concern because she thought for sure that he was gambling yet again. However, Billy will now unveil his plans for the future of Jabot to not only Phyllis but the rest of the staff as well on the Wednesday, August 8 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
Billy’s (Jason Thompson) tactics as CEO of Jabot have been called into question repeatedly, and even more so since his return to gambling was exposed. One person who has struggled immensely with his keeping secrets is Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), who paused their relationship after she learned about the poker games on the CBS soap. The two have since reunited, but with Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) death and Billy still sneaking around, things have been tense between them.
Phyllis finally confronted him about not really being there for her following her best friend’s death and assumed he was gambling again, only to learn he was conducting secret meetings in regard to a project he planned to launch at Jabot. He refused to tell her anything until it was a done deal, however, and in the meantime, his other decisions have made him some enemies.
Among them is Phyllis’ boss, Lauren (Tracey Bregman), who was angry when Billy told her he was going to close her underperforming Fenmore’s stores. Now, the two women will meet with Ashley (Eileen Davidson) who is back in town and still questioning what’s going on with her brother, and Kyle (Michael Mealor), as they all try to discuss what’s going on and determining the next step for the future. Though Phyllis wants to still be loyal to Billy, her employment will force her to go along with the meeting. However, it will be cut short when Billy decides to announce his big news.
Previously, his biggest contributions to the company as CEO were the birthday suit fragrance launch and buying a company yacht. Now though, he will unveil his plans to open a new chain of stores in the Jabot name, which would explain why he wanted to somewhat distance himself from Fenmore’s. Naturally, the decision won’t be well-liked by anyone except for Phyllis, who is doing whatever she can to save her relationship with the man she loves, and the attempts to try and find a way to overthrow him and stop the family company and legacy from going bust will only increase.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
