‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Can Nick And Phyllis Keep Summer Quiet?
They have made sure that no one found out about their steamy night together so as not to ruin either of their relationships. Now, Nick and Phyllis will have to pull out all of the stops if they want to convince their daughter, Summer, from spilling their secret on the Thursday, August 16 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
Summer (Hunter King) figured out that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) had cheated on Sharon (Sharon Case) and Billy (Jason Thompson) and confronted her mother about it. Now, she is trying to do damage control on the CBS soap, in an effort to keep Summer from spilling the truth and blowing up all of their lives.
Summer, who has been trying to seduce Billy and take him for herself, will quickly storm off in an attempt to find him and let him know what her mother did, and Phyllis will be close behind. She will attempt to convince her daughter not to spill the secret to no avail, and finally, will have to resort to letting Nick know what’s going on as well, in the hopes he can help.
It will become clear to the two parents that Summer’s motives have to do with getting Billy, and they know that they not only need to keep the truth from getting out because of what it will do to the futures they each have planned, but because they want to keep Summer from sleeping with him at all costs. As a result, Nick will try to appeal to his daughter next and may be forced to handle the situation the only way he knows how.
After his own attempts to talk her down and convince her that blowing up so many lives isn’t right fails, he will do the only thing he can—buy her silence. He will cut his daughter a check to keep quiet, and Summer won’t be happy. Now, she will need to decide if her silence can be bought, or if she still wants to forge ahead with her plans.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
