young and the restless
Billy (Jason Thompson) stands to unravel as he learns of all the actions being taken against him on the Aug. 23, 2018 episode of “The Young and the Restless.” Howard Wise/ JPI Studios for CBS

He seems to have put his gambling addiction back into his past once again, but as things continue mounting against him, Billy may find himself unraveling once more on the Thursday, Aug. 23 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

No one has been overly receptive to his idea of opening Jabotique stores, and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) has even suspected that there is something else going on with Billy (Jason Thompson) on the CBS soap. She’s been working with Kyle (Michael Mealor) to uncover what he may be hiding, while also conspiring with Jack (Peter Bergman) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) to get the stores from opening to begin with. Now, Billy will learn just how far everyone is willing to go when it comes to working against him.

Though Nick initially told Jack that while they had acquired the leasing company for the Jabotique stores, he had no intention of canceling the leases, he did make a move that would put some pressure on Billy by raising the rents of each individual space. Billy will get word of this and quickly confront the other man, accusing his former brother-in-law of being just like his father, Victor (Eric Braden) in the process. He will later learn from Jack that his brother urged Nick to cancel the leases entirely, and Billy will fume at the level of betrayal he feels.

He will then also confront Ashley about the plot against him since he will know she was the one who informed Jack of the plan for the stores in the first place. While he will now be more wary of his sister than ever before and less likely to trust her with sensitive information, he will still need to watch himself, as she is also on the trail when it comes to his other shady actions, like his forging paperwork to make it look like he had gotten the company yacht serviced, when in reality, he had lost it during a high-stakes poker game.

Of course, that won’t be the only thing that could lead Billy down a dark path, as Summer (Hunter King) and Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) battle over him is only starting to heat up.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
