‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Will Summer Accept Nick’s Bribe?
They are desperate to keep her quiet and not have the truth about their night together exposed to their significant others. Now, Phyllis and Nick will find out if their daughter, Summer, will accept the financial bribe to keep her quiet on the Friday, August 17 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
Summer (Hunter King) revealed to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) that she knew she had cheated on Billy (Jason Thompson) with Nick (Joshua Morrow) on the CBS soap. She threatened her mother that she was going to tell the truth, and it was clear to Phyllis that her motivation was so she could get Billy for herself. Desperate for backup, she went to Nick to see what he could do. When he also couldn’t convince Summer to back down, he wrote her a check.
Now, he will ask his daughter if she is accepting the money he’s offering, and will remind her that she’s taken pay-offs before to stay out of trouble. She will begrudgingly accept the check, assuring her father that she isn’t going to say anything, but it won’t go unnoticed that she’s not doing it out of love for either of her parents and only because she can’t turn down a good financial offering.
Of course, even if she no longer uses the information about their affair to get what she wants, Summer won’t be deterred from her mission to bed break up Phyllis and Billy and get him into bed. Not only does she still see him as a challenge, but she also has a bet with Kyle (Michael Mealor) riding on it, and she needs to succeed if she wants to take his car from him. However, she will know she needs to switch gears when it comes to her approach.
Instead of using the secret, which would have guaranteed her a win, Summer will once again make a move on Billy, in an attempt to continue wearing him down. Though he will once again push her away and try to ignore her advances, she will feel more confident than ever that she can succeed at achieving her ultimate goal.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
