Atlanta authorities are searching for rapper Young Vito, 28, as the lead suspect in the shooting of Waka Flocka affiliate Slim Dunkin.
The 24-year-old rapper was shot and killed on Dec. 16, allegedly because of a conflict that began over a stolen piece of candy. He was allegedly in a recording studio with as many as 20 people at the time of the shooting.
Police Maj. Keith Meadows said, The suspect produced a weapon, discharged that handgun one time, striking the victim in the chest.
Police claim to have secured an arrest warrant for Young Vito, whose real name is Vinson Hardimon.
We are urging Mr. Hardimon to turn himself in to authorities because we have reason to believe he may be in danger, Atlanta police said in a press release.
Slim Dunkin, born Mario Hamilton, was a growing star in the Waka Flocka Flame's Brick Squad Monopoly crew. Dunkin had appearances on Flocka's 2010 debut album, Flockaveli, and rapped on Gucci Mane and V-Nasty's BAYTL LP. Dunkin had released a 20-track mixtape in October, called Menace II.
