Yusef, Who Mocked Teyana Taylor In Rihanna Video, Speaks Out: Is Rihanna A Cyber Bully?
Yusef, the celebrity stylist who mocked Teyana Taylor in Rihanna’s Instagram video earlier this week is speaking up after the situation made headlines. The “Unapologetic” singer posted a clip of Yusef, donning Jordan sneakers, a long black wig, and snapback hat while jokingly singing Anita Baker’s “Caught Up in the Rapture.”
Just two weeks ago, Taylor, 22, who often wears similar attire, posted a video singing the same song. The two then ended up in a Twitter feud, with Rihanna, 25, saying her net worth is $90 million compared to Taylor’s $500,000. Taylor, who is signed to Kanye West’s GOOD music label, proceeded to say, "Ya net worth & ya body count go neck to neck. #IndustryP---y" Taylor wrote. "90 million dollars & 90 million n---as diving in that b---h box." Both artists eventually deleted the tweet amongst others they had written.
Now, Yusef tells Enstarz that he made the video with no ill will. “Honestly, I just finished making the wig. I started making the cideo. It was amazing, no malicious intent towards Teyana. I just think it was uncalled for. Teyana killed that song.”
Yesef proceeded to say that Rihanna is too focused on her work to go back-and-forth with anyone, though she has had Twitter feuds on a number of occasions with other artists including Ciara.
"She [Rihanna] could care less. It was funny. Thats whats so funny. It wasn't like that.," he said. "She doesn't care…that's her personality." He then negated Taylor, who called Rihanna a “cyber bully.”
"Cyber bully is harsh word. She is focused, being Rihanna. She is not sitting around. She didn't grab her phone. She is the most kind and giving person. I just think for that to go the way it went, it was uncalled for."
