Zachary Levi has revealed that the film sets could look completely different when the industry resumes its operations after the coronavirus quarantine. Many films and TV shows have halted their production to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 39-year-old actor noted that studios would have to put some major “protocols” to ensure safety on the set. The star further stated that he does not know when the production gears could start moving again.
Levi also shared that there are a lot uncertainties on when actors can resume the filming of their upcoming projects.
“There is definitely going to be some major protocols that are put in place. What these protocols are, I am not sure yet. I am doing my own diligence as an actor waiting to go back to work, but also a producer and someone who is trying to create my own world out here in which to produce. I have actively trying to figure out when the gears can start moving a bit again, but I do not know for sure,” Levi said.
The “Remember Sunday” actor, who will be next seen in the sequel to the 2018’s hit movie “Shazam!,” also revealed that the script for the second installment is already in the works and the movie will be coming out on its scheduled release date.
“It (‘Shazam! 2’) is still on track. Right now, they are writing an amazing script. I do not have any real details on that. I have got some generals and they all sound amazing,” Levi said.
The original film turned out to be a massive success for Warner Bros. as it garnered universal acclaim. IndieWire, in its review of the movie, wrote that “Shazam!” is “one of the most fun superheroes movies ever made” and gave it four stars.
The film was a financial success as well as it accumulated more than $365 million globally and made 3.5 times more than its production budget.
It currently holds a score of 90% on review site Rotten Tomatoes.
The original film also featured Mark Strong, Asher Angel, Meagan Good, Grace Fulton, Michelle Borth, and Adam Brody in pivotal roles.
