Zoe Kravitz is considered to be one of the promising talents in Hollywood right now. From “X Men: First Class” to “Big Little Lies,” Kravitz has been a part of some of the biggest projects in both film and television.

However, Kravitz’s upcoming project might easily be the biggest one. The actress is set to portray the character of Catwoman in Mark Reeves’ upcoming film, “The Batman.” She recently opened up about the movie and spilled out some details on how she felt after the announcement was made.

Speaking in an interview with Variety, the 31-year-old star revealed that the announcement put a lot of pressure on her because the character meant so much to many people. The actress also admitted that she received a plethora of phone calls after the announcement, even more than the calls she gets on her birthday.

“It is cool, man. It is cool. I cannot say it was not cool, but I have been really trying to not think too much about just what that character means to everybody else. When the announcement came out that I had gotten this role, my phone rang more than it has ever. More than my birthday, more than my wedding, more than anything. So I felt that immediate pressure,” Kravitz told the publication.

The actress also shed light on the story and said that the script is “phenomenal.” She further stated that the script focuses on who Selena Kyle is and what she wants.

“The script is phenomenal. The story is really strong. I feel very clear on who Selena is and what she wants, and I am trying to stay more focused on that,” Variety quoted Kravitz, as saying.

When asked why Robert Pattinson was the perfect guy to play Batman, the “High Fidelity” star shared that Pattinson is a really “investing artist” and that makes him a lot like Batman.

“First of all, he’s just a really good actor. He started out as this kind of teen pop sensation, and then I think we all kind of saw through his work that there was a lot more going on. He’s a really interesting artist, and that is very much Batman in a way. So just in that, I think he’s perfect for this role. He can relate in that way, and he looks good in the suit, man. He looks good in the suit,” Kravitz said.

Pattinson will be donning the cape in Matt Reeves’ upcoming project “The Batman.” Ben Affleck was the last actor to wear the iconic Batsuit for the big screen in 2016’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” and 2017’s “Justice League.”

The first in the trilogy, “The Batman” is scheduled to hit cinemas on Oct. 1, 2021.
