ZTE Launches Axon Lux With 128 GB Internal Storage And Axon Mini With Force Touch Display

The Chinese company ZTE has unveiled the Axon Lux and Axon Mini smartphones along with the Axon Watch wearable.

The ZTE Axon Lux comes with a 5.5-inch Continuous Grain Silicon TFT display supporting Quad HD resolution. ZTE had presented the handset by stating that it the first smartphone in the world to come with three biometric authentication options for unlocking, Phone Arena stated. They are a fingerprint scanner, voice recognition and eye scanner.

The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset with 4 GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage is of 128 GB and users can add up to 128 GB of microSD on its external storage.

The rear side of the device houses a dual camera system of 13 MP and 2 MP cameras. It is supported by dual LED flash. The front-facing shooter of Axon Lux is 8 MP. It supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, and v4.0 Bluetooth connectivity. It is equipped with a 3,000 mAh capacity battery.

ZTE had also unveiled the Axon Mini that sports a 5.2 inches display. But little is known of the specifications, Phone Arena reports. One of the salient features of the Axon Mini is that its display is enabled with Force Touch technology that can distinguish between harder and lighter taps on the screen, Giz China reported.

The Axon Watch was unveiled alongside the Axon Lux and Axon Mini. The smartwatch does not feature the Android Wear but comes preinstalled with Tencent OS. This indicates that the smartwatch will be mainly sold in China. When it is rolled out for international markets, it may come preloaded with Android Wear OS, NDTV reported.

The ZTE Axon Watch comes with a AMOLED display of 1.4 inches. It supports a display resolution of 400 x 400 pixels. It is powered by Snapdragon 400 chipset along with 512 MB of RAM.

The device features 4 GB of internal storage. Some of the sensors include on the Axon Watch are heart rate sensor, barometer, accelerometer and more. GPS and v4.1 Bluetooth are the connectivity features available on the smartwatch. It will be packed with a 300 mAh battery.
