ZTE Axon Phone Preorders Has Started In US For $449
Preorders of the unlocked ZTE Axon smartphone have started in the U.S. The handset that was showcased in June with high-end specs carries a price tag of $449.98.
The unlocked ZTE Axon can be preordered from ZTE’s official website for the U.S. audience and well-known retailers like Amazon, Newegg and eBay, Phone Arena revealed. Shipping of the device will start from July 27, says the press release of the device on Business Wire.
The handset boasts premium design as it comes clad with metal and glass construction. The device measures 154 x 75 x 9.3 mm and its weight is 175 grams. It houses a 5.5 inches TFT display from Shape that supports Quad HD resolution of 1440 x2560 pixels.
The ZTE Axon Phone promises topnotch performance as it comes loaded with a Snapdragon 810 chipset that includes a 64-bit octa-core processor. The smooth performance of the chipset will be supported by 4 GB of RAM. There is no external storage on the device, but the internal storage is 32 GB.
On the rear side of the Axon Phone is the dual camera system that comprises 13 MP and 2 MP cameras. It supports 4K video capturing. The camera on the front is 8 MP. It will feature the stock edition of the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
One of the most striking features of the Axon Phone is that it is equipped with an AKM 4961 Hi-Fi audio chip that can produce superior sound output. The manufacturers have also added dual microphones on the device for unmatched sound recording experience. The package of the Axon Phone contains JBL E13 in-ear headphones.
The unlocked Axon Phone is compatible with GSM and LTE network bands of AT&T and T-Mobile, but not Verizon Wireless and Sprint. The handset features a non-removable battery of 3,000 mAh. The ZTE press release claims it is the fourth biggest mobile phone maker in the U.S. and it adds that the device has been “designed in the U.S. for the U.S.”
