Fox teased a lineup of special guest stars in “Bones” Season 12. We already know that Betty White (Dr. Beth Mayer), Eddie McClintock (Sully), Ed Asner and Hal Hoolbrook are starring in the series’ final season. Now we have information that another actor is returning in a guest role.

Stephen Fry, who plays Gordon Wyatt on the series, will return to “Bones” in the upcoming season. David Boreanaz, who plays FBI Agent Seeley Booth on the show, shared the good news on Twitter by posting a picture of him on set.

Wyatt first appeared in Season 2 as a mild-mannered psychiatrist. In the same episode, Booth shot at an ice-cream truck. The good doctor later decided to give up counseling and explore his love for cooking. The chef was last seen in Season 5.

Fry’s Wyatt will be seen in Season 12, episode 9, TVLine reports.

Season 12 will be final season of “Bones.” There will be an epic serial killer storyline, a wedding and several guest-stars in this season. No doubt the serial killer storyline is one involving the notorious Puppeteer. At the end of last season, Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Booth’s wife, was kidnapped by none other than her former squinterm Zack Addy (Eric Millegan). Season 12 will finally wrap up that story and reveal whether Zack is in fact the Puppeteer.

“Bones” will also showcase the wedding of Cam and Arastoo (Pej Vahdat).

The Fox show will also see the Jeffersonian team going undercover at a lumberjack competition.

Season 12 will only have 12 episodes.

The final season of “Bones” will wrap up the storylines of Booth, Brennan, Cam (Tamara Taylor), Angela (Michaela Conlin), Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) and Aubrey (John Boyd). It will air in 2017.
