Kate Middleton’s parents were accused of cashing in on Meghan Markle several times.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s parents own Party Pieces that supplies personalized goodies. However, Carole and Michael Middleton were accused of cashing in on the Duchess of Sussex several times in the past by using the duchess in their ads.

1. Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding

In the run-up of Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding, Middleton’s parents offer personalized Union Jack banner, bowler hat, fabric waving flags, umbrella, fluffy head boppers and more. The items were perfect for the Sussexes’ big day which was considered a national celebration.

“Complete the look with this fun Union Jack Bowler Hat. Ideal for national celebrations, you can show off your British style with this hilarious hat. Great for taking some funny photos and showing off your national pride,” the description of the Union Jack bowler hat read.

2. Markle’s birthday

Days ahead Markle’s birthday in 2018, the Middletons shared a colorful banner to promote their product. A snap of the promotion with personalized message for the celebrant read: “Happy 18th Birthday Meghan.” The name is similar to the Duchess of Sussex’s except that it was spelled without an “h.”

“Our wide range of personalised photo banners are perfect for girls and boys birthday parties,” the ad read. “Add a personal touch by adding a name and age or write your own custom message and a photo of the special birthday boy or girl.”

3. Markle’s son Archie

Just recently, Middleton’s parents uses Prince Harry and Markle’s son on their promotional materials. Carole and Michael promoted different party items on their site using child models. The site promoted celebratory birthday cakes with colorful banners bearing Archie’s name.

“HAVE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARCHIE!” a text in one banner read.
