4-Year-Old Girl Runs To Hug Michael Myers, Says 'I Love Him' In Hilarious Video [Watch]
Michael Myers, the scary masked killer in the Halloween series who gave nightmares and shudders to viewers, has got a brave fan -- a 4-year-old girl who is totally in love with him.
And when the little girl, Aria Alvarado, from West Covina, California, saw her beloved character at her birthday party, she, of course, couldn't hold back. She ran to hug him and loudly proclaimed to her mom: "I love him."
Aria's mother, Rose Alvarado, recorded the girl's cute gesture and shared the video on her Twitter and TikTok accounts. The video soon went viral and was watched by more than 12 million viewers.
As Halloween music began to play in the background during her party, Aria could be seen eagerly looking around for her beloved character. The video then showed Michael Myers peeking in from the side of a building and her mother asking her to look who has come. When Aria finally spots him, the first thing she blurted was: "Michael Myers, I Love you." She then ran towards him with her hands stretched, ready for a hug.
"We knew she liked him, but we did not expect her to react like that. Her reaction was so funny, so I thought I'd post the little video online," Rose was quoted as saying by The Washington News Day.
Rose had no doubts while she decided on the theme for her birthday party. “She’s loved Halloween ever since she first saw The Nightmare Before Christmas,” Rose said to Today. “She enjoys horror films such as Frankenweenie, Coraline, Corpse Bride, and, of course, Halloween starring Michael Myers,” she added.
While planning the party, Rose had asked her daughter how she would feel if Michael Myers visited her on her birthday. The girl was overjoyed at the thoughts. Aria's dad then decided to step in and got dressed in the blue jumpsuit with a white ski mask to keep their little girl happy.
Many viewers shared the video online and said they giggled at the little girl's innocent reaction. While they were some viewers who were skeptical about how the young children were allowed to watch horror movies.
"As an adult, I don’t care for horror movies, why do you want to see another person get killed. I know you say it’s just a movie, but this is how people get those crazy ideas," a viewer tweeted.
"My children never saw a scary movie or knew about scary figures until their teens. I did not want to expose my children to those things. But the things we do and say these days we will be told to mind our own business," another said.
