4-Year-Old's Mother Killed After Child Urinated In Front Of Neighbor's House

In a shocking incident, a woman in India was allegedly killed just because her 4-year-old child urinated in front of her neighbor's house.

The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Savitri Rana who lived in New Delhi. The police said the woman was slashed several times with a razor by a minor who lived in the house, NDTV reported.

The child had urinated in front of the 17-year-old's house a few days ago, which led to a quarrel between the two families. Other residents of the locality, including some shopkeepers, managed to end the fight, and people asked the woman not to allow her son to urinate in front of anyone's home.

The matter was then thought to be resolved. However, on Wednesday, the 17-year-old accused attacked the woman with a razor. The woman suffered serious injuries which led to her death, the police said. The victim had a clinic near the accused's home.

“During the investigation, a juvenile has been apprehended. Both the accused and the victim reside nearby in the same locality. An altercation had taken between them over trivial issues,” the deputy commissioner of police (Rohini) Pranav Tayal, said, according to the Wire.

“The victim’s son was playing outside the clinic and her husband was away when she was attacked. The juvenile also has previous involvements in criminal cases,” Tayal was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

The accused has been detained and an investigation was underway into the incident. The charges placed against the teenager have not been revealed.

Last month, a 35-year-old man in the state of Chhattisgarh was jailed for beheading his elderly neighbor and parading with the victim's severed head for miles. The accused was involved in frequent fights with the victim as he believed the latter was practicing witchcraft. The suspect was identified as Madhav Gond. During questioning, Gond told the police his neighbor Karan Singh used to destroy his crops by deliberately unleashing cattle into his farm. Gond also told the police at the time Singh used witchcraft to inflict harm on his family's health. In a fit of rage, Gond hacked his neighbor to death with an ax.
