Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are well-loved by British citizens and popular among netizens, but with their fame comes a number of shocking conspiracy theories.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex got the media's attention when they started dating. Since then, they have remained on the covers of magazines and tabloids. Here are some of the unlikely stories reported about them.

1. Markle is a spy

Rumors claimed that Markle was a secret agent after Paul Bettany joked about the former "Suits" actress in an interview with Vanity Fair.

"I think that Meghan Markle might be a sleeper agent for the U.S. government," the "Avengers: Infinity War" actor said. "The dad doing the photos thing, it's like a false-flag event. I think the C.I.A.'s involved—everybody. I think Piers Morgan's involved."

2. Prince Harry is a "shape lifting lizard"

Last year, David Icke claimed that the Queen is a shape-lifting reptile and that he believes that the royal family is a descendant of a reptilian bloodline from the outer space. He added that they are reptile-human hybrids, which triggered the theory that Prince Harry is a "shape shifting lizard."

"I did not sit in a dark room and come up with this theory nor go looking for it," Icke said. "I have travelled and been to 50 countries to research it. It took the form of meeting people who tell of experiences of seeing people, often in positions of power, change from human form to a reptilian form and back again in front of their eyes."

3. Markle is a robot

A video previously surfaced showing Markle watching "Britain's Got Talent." In the clip, the Duchess of Sussex does not seem to be moving at all. Her face, eyes and lips remain still, which triggered fans to compare her to a robot. It turns out that it was the waxwork masks that are going to be used for Prince Harry and Markle's Madame Tussauds' Waxworks.

4. Prince Harry and Markle's marriage is a new storyline for "Suits"

Markle was still filming "Suits" when she started dating Prince Harry. However, she decided to leave the series after finishing Season 7. Prior to the royal wedding and after Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince Louis, one tweet sparked rumors claiming that everything was for the American legal drama TV series.

"I don't want to start conspiracy theories but Meghan Markle is marrying Harry, and Wills and Kate have just named their child after Louis Litt. Is this all just an awesome guerrilla marketing campaign for a UK spin off of Suits?!" Matthew Taylor wrote.

5. Prince Harry and Markle got married to colonize the USA

Greg Pollowitz claimed that there's a chance Prince Harry and Markle's marriage is a ploy to colonize America. According to him, the couple's children will be Americans and will be in-line to the British throne at the same time. He added that Britain wants America back and this is their way to achieve it.
