“90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Season 4 has been filled with drama for former couple Ashley Martson and Jay Smith. After their latest online feud on Tuesday, the Pennsylvania native deactivated her Instagram account, but hours later it was reactivated.

Ashley revealed her return to social media was not by choice. Instead, she claimed she was forced to remain active on the mobile app due to contractual obligations.

On Wednesday, Ashley took to her Instagram story to explain why she was back on Instagram after attempting to take a break from social media.

“IG is back up and not because I want it to be. When you sign contracts to promote products them delete your IG, they don’t take it too kindly. So here were are,” she wrote in a post.

Along with the explanation, the words, “social media is poison,” were written at the bottom of the post.

Ashley’s return to the mobile app comes after she posted and deleted a comment on a picture her ex-husband shared on Instagram. “First off, this photo is old Af. Secondly, don‘t post my home or anything to do with me,” she wrote.

The TLC star went on to tell her ex that she dropped his belongings outside of a tattoo shop. She eventually deleted the comment and then deactivated her account. Ashley and Jay split earlier this year after she learned he cheated on her again.

Their rocky relationship has been featured on “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Season 4. The upcoming episode will feature their break up. Ashley is expected to enter treatment to deal with depression she believes came from her marriage and PTSD from a sexual assault.

“90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Season 4 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
