‘90 Day Fiancé’ Update: Debbie Prefers ‘Evil’ Larissa Over Colt’s New Girlfriend Jess
Viewers of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Season 5 are well aware that Colt Johnson’s mother, Debbie, despises his ex-wife, Larissa Santos Lima. Following the latest episode of the TLC series, Debbie admitted that she prefers Colt’s marriage with Larissa rather than his relationship with his new girlfriend Jess Carolina.
On Sunday night, Debbie revealed that she had some reservations about Jess since she was Brazilian and needed a green card, just as Larissa did during her relationship with Colt.
Debbie told Entertainment Tonight that she believes Larissa is more trustworthy compared to Jess. “Because Larissa’s evil, but she’s honestly evil,” she explained.
“I’m not gonna say that she’s not evil, she’s just ... I trust Larissa because I know her, and I know what she’s about. Jess is a total mystery to me.”
While Debbie may think Jess has ulterior motives when it comes to the relationship with her son, Colt revealed that he enjoys the fact that his romance with Jess has been moving quickly.
“I like talking about future stuff. I think I romanticize a lot in my life, so, thinking about future and family -- hypothetical -- it’s interesting, it’s fun. It’s more fun to talk about life in the future with someone than it is [to be] miserable,” the “90 Day Fiancé” star said.
“Jess and I, we’re very hot and cold. We fight, we’re passionate. I feel like a lot of our relationship is passion, so anytime we can actually connect is like when we talk about future stuff, because we have something to look forward to.”
Nonetheless, Debbie believes that Jess mostly likely “tracked him down and went after him” in order to stay in America.
Although Colt has confronted Debbie about being rude to Jess after he introduced them, fans will have to wait to see if the couple’s relationship will be able to survive Debbie’s criticism.
“90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Season 5 airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
