‘90 Day Fiancé’ Update: Jonathan’s Engagement To Girlfriend Was ‘Easiest Decision’ After Fernanda Divorce

Although “90 Day Fiancé” star Jonathan Rivera’s marriage with Fernanda Flores did not work out, the North Carolina native refused to give up on love. One year following his split from Fernanda, the 33-year-old is engaged to his girlfriend Janelle Miller.

Fans of the TLC series may recall how Jonathan and Fernanda’s intense romance began to fall apart because Fernanda struggled to adjust to her new life in the south. Since Fernanda didn’t know anyone in the state, she often felt lonely.

Following their break up, Fernanda revealed Jonathan told her they would move to Chicago but never followed through on his word. Despite the heartbreak the couple had to face, Jonathan was able to find love again.

On Thursday, the “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” star announced his engagement on Instagram. Jonathan shared a photo of himself holding his new fiancé’s hand as she flashed her engagement ring.

“Easiest decision I’ve ever made,” he wrote in the caption under the image.

While Jonathan was able to find love again, Fernanda is still searching for a compatible companion. However, following an episode of “90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined,” it appears she may have found a match.

During the episode, Fernanda revealed that she has been dating former “Bachelorette” star Clay Harbor.

“Today I’m having a date — a Zoom date. I’m excited. I’m a little nervous. Clay is just a guy that I like a lot. He was a football player. He’s been in a few reality TV shows before. Clay’s so hot,” she revealed.

Whether their relationship works out or not, Fernanda insisted that she is relieved to be done with her marriage to Jonathan and is eager to see what life has to offer. “In the past year, everything in my life changed 100 percent,” she said.

“I tried my best at the beginning to give us an opportunity, but things went from bad to worse. I couldn’t handle it. We were married six months until we separated. The divorce is final now. We both signed the papers. I feel relief. I feel free. I feel ready to eat the world.”
