Adele has sparked rumors that she's engaged to boyfriend Rich Paul amid speculation that they're experiencing relationship troubles.

The British superstar made her first public appearance since canceling her Las Vegas residency at the 2022 Brit Awards Thursday.

Adele, who took home the Brit Award for song of the year for her megahit "Easy On Me," stunned in her custom velvet Giorgio Armani Privé gown that featured a shimmering, dotted tulle neckline and train.

What drew even more attention, however, was the massive Lorraine Schwartz pear-shaped diamond ring that the Grammy winner wore on her left hand, right above her "Paradise" tattoo, Us Weekly reported. The sparkler led to a lot of fan buzz on social media, with many speculating that Adele may be revealing that she's engaged to her sports agent boyfriend.

"Adele steps out for her first red carpet appearance in five years at the Brit Awards, cinched and serving in a custom black velvet and tulle gown courtesy of Armani Privé — and a noticeable ring on her finger! Is she… y'know… engaged?" fashion columnist and media personality Evan Ross Katz captioned his post of Adele on Instagram.

"The media really tried to say there was trouble in paradise, and now miss Adele pops out engaged to be married," one fan wrote on Twitter.

Adele's appearance at the awards show came on the heels of her postponing her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency.

In a tearful video shared on Jan. 20, one day before her concert was set to begin, she explained that her show wasn't ready as some of the problems they encountered during preparation were "impossible" to solve before her residency was supposed to kick off.

Soon after her announcement, rumors surfaced that Adele's relationship with Paul was on the rocks and that she may be planning to pull out of appearing at the Brit Awards as well.

Following the cancellation of her residency, Page Six reported, citing unnamed sources, that Adele headed to her boyfriend's Beverly Hills home and was now working on her relationship issues with him. Paul was reportedly also helping her renegotiate her contract with Las Vegas casino owners.

"She and Rich had been fighting, and their relationship was volatile before she canceled her dates," the source claimed. "Adele is very emotional and dramatic. He's an NBA guy who has to go on the road — they are very different — and they hit a rough patch."

However, Adele shut down both rumors via an Instagram post earlier this month.

"Hiya, so I'm really happy to say that I am performing at the Brits next week," she captioned a candid photo of herself holding up a hearts playing card. "Anddddd I'll also be popping in to see Graham [Norton] for a chat on the couch while I'm in town too! I'm looking forward to it!"

The pair were first spotted together at a basketball game in July 2021, and she made their relationship Instagram official in September last year.

The "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker told Vogue U.K. in her November 2021 cover story interview that she and Paul were "very happy" together.
