Adrien Broner has revealed that he will return to boxing next year.

Broner has been regarded in boxing as a younger Floyd Mayweather Jr. One major reason is the resemblance in attitude both in and outside the ring. Broner likes to talk smack against his opponents before and after the fight, a habit which Mayweather has been known for almost his entire career.

The last time Broner was seen inside the boxing ring was last January where he suffered a unanimous decision loss against Flipino legend Manny Pacquiao. And now that Mayweather has announced that he will return in 2020, Broner also stated that he plans to make a comeback on the same year as well.

In a recent interview with Elie Seckbach of EsNews, Broner was asked if he has any thoughts of coming out of retirement soon. The former WBA welterweight champ seriously answered that he will return to fighting next year.

“I’m coming back next year. I’m telling you right now,” Broner said.

“I aint gonna lie, I’ve been working out,” Broner continued.

The 30-year-old boxer also said that he just have to deal with the troubles he has against the law before making a comeback. Broner revealed that he has been working with his lawyers in an attempt to win a case at the moment.

“I’m working things out with my lawyer I got a case to fight,” Broner revealed.

This isn’t the first time Broner stated that he will come out of retirement. Just like Mayweather, Broner is also being linked to a UFC fighter. Cody Garbrandt, a former UFC champ who has been rumored to be interested in fighting Broner, a fight in which “The Problem” is also rooting for.

According to Broner, Garbrandt has got to be his next opponent and he will come out of retirement just to fight the UFC star.

“Tell him c’mon let’s make it,” Broner said about fighting Garbrandt.

“He need to be my next fight. I’ll come back. I’ll come out of retirement just to fight him and retire again,” Broner vowed.

Broner has developed a trash-talking reputation and it is highly likely that some fans wouldn’t take him seriously. However, to prove that he’s open to fight Garbrandt, Broner even called out UFC president Dana White to make the fight happen.

“Hey Dana White, make it happen,” Broner said.

Broner is currently active in supporting Gervonta “Tank” Davis. The two have been frequently spotted in boxing events lately and both have been very vocal about their future plans in boxing.
