The “Marvel’s Agent Carter” Season 1 premiere is still a few weeks away, but Marvel just gave fans another sneak-peek video about the episode. The series will follow Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), Captain America’s ex, as she adjusts to life post-World War II.

The men at the Strategic Scientific Reserve, or SSR, don’t let her do much besides administrative work, but Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) knows her talents. When someone frames him, he enlists Agent Carter to help clear his name. No one can know about her secret missions for Stark -- not even her roommate. The new sneak-peek video shows just how little information Peggy gives her friends.

The clip shows Peggy at home when her roommate Colleen (Ashley Hinshaw) returns from work. Her boss let 10 women go, and now she’s overworked. Peggy asks why they didn’t want them around.

“Because 10 more G.I.s got discharged,” Colleen explains. “I had to show a guy from Canarsie how to use a rivet gun.”

It seems it isn’t just Agent Carter’s employer that is pushing women out after the men return from the war. However, her roommate has concerns that Peggy doesn’t have time for. When Agent Carter tries to return a shirt she borrowed, Colleen tells her to keep it. “That kind of thing might really catch a man’s eye, say, on a date,” she says.

Peggy isn’t interested in going on a date, but Colleen pushes it. “You know there’s a difference between being an independent woman and a spinster,” she says.

“Is it the shoes?” Peggy replies, jokingly.

Colleen reminds Peggy they have plans to go to a movie theater Saturday, but Agent Carter can’t guarantee she’ll be able to make it. “Peg, you work at the phone company,” Colleen says. “It ain’t life and death.”

“Darling, you have no idea,” Peggy says from the closet as she discreetly puts a handgun in her purse.
